RS300 Training at Draycote

We had an excellent training day at Draycote on Saturday, with 6 300s coming along, John Carron, Steve and Nick Bolland, Chris Gandy, Chris Hart and Ritchie Sharpe.

This gave a great coach to sailor ratio and I worked them hard, with everyone leaving well tired.

The morning session concentrated mostly on boathandling drills, with plenty of tacking and gybing on the whistle, with the afternoon being starting and racing practise. We then had some team racing with teams of 2, last boat loses, winning team stays on. This involved some seriously aggressive sailing with the results for all races being in doubt to the line. But the boathandling and tactics got a great workout.

There were video debriefs to analyse what we had done and we all gained plenty from the day and had great fun doing so.
My ears were still ringing hours later after blowing the whistle all day. Does anyone know of an air powered whistle?
