Gul RS National Championships - RS300 Day 4 Report
A severe disturbance in the force was felt in Weymouth today. The
initial northerly gradient died away and on a warm but cloudy day a sea
breeze did not materialize. Thus a race was started in a fitful Force 1
Westerly, and it was the Dark Side, namely one Dartht Mockerill (Steve
Cockerill) led again escaping from the port biased line with the Jedi
Knights of the 300 fleet in close pursuit. The winds of the force swung
further to the left leaving those on the right becalmed in the desert
system close to Castle Cove. Severe Bollard (Nick Bolland) had recovered
from his bicycle mishaps of the night before and chased Dartht Mockerill
valiantly in second. Phil The Phantom Menace Davies , another
lightweight, was third at the windward mark and held this position to the
finish. Meanwhile other lesser known Jedis such as Steve Jam-Jar
Drinks Macdonald and Barry Yoda Steele were also appearing higher in
the fleet but had faded as the course was shortened after two rounds.
Heavyweights such as Will Jabba the Hut Gulliver, and Matt Blubba
Fett Sargent were really struggling in the light conditions, finishing
sixth and seventh and Blubba was subsequently disqualified after a
collision of starships. No further start was possible, so 3 races will
be sailed tomorrow. The dominance of the Dark Sides Dartht Mockerill
continues due to this disturbance in the force. Behind the battle for
second remains finely balanced with The Phantom Menace, Blubba Fett and
the Scottish Jedi, Ian Baillie separated by just 3 points.
