The Grand Title of RS300 2014 Grand Prix Champion will be decided this weekend at the Gul Inlands
2014 has been a tremendous Grand Prix year for the RS300 fleet. Just one more event to go: your Gul Inlands this weekend.
So far 26 boats have raced in the RS300 Grand Prix. It is three out of the total of six events to count. The results so far are here.
Yes the title of RS300 2014 Grand Prix Champion is still up for grabs! There may well be a nail biting tie break!
So in order for everyone to fully understand what they have to do in order to get the best place possible in the GP by racing hard this weekend your Chairmen Pete and Steve thought we should make it completely clear how the decision to break a tie will be taken using Appendix 8.
So sit down, take a deep breath and here goes...
A8 SERIES TIES
A8.1 If there is a series-score tie between two or more boats, each boat’s
race scores shall be listed in order of best to worst, and at the first
point(s) where there is a difference the tie shall be broken in favour
of the boat(s) with the best score(s). No excluded scores shall be
used.
A8.2 If a tie remains between two or more boats, they shall be ranked in
order of their scores in the last race. Any remaining ties shall be
broken by using the tied boats’ scores in the next-to-last race and so
on until all ties are broken. These scores shall be used even if some
of them are excluded scores.
Thank goodness we are going to Grafham WSC to settle this battle. We can expect excellent race and results management at the Gul Inlands this weekend. All the information is available here.
I look forward to spectating at this RS300 Grand Prix Battle.
