2015 RS300 UPDATE
The RS300 year will start with a bang at the Dinghy Show, Aly Paly Sat 28 Feb - Sun 1 March.
Rich Le Mare's groovy purple babe will be centre stage with Luke Pepper's tremendous RS300 promotional video with sound track by Skinner Bros and Dave James (Audio Network) providing the atmosphere. See the video here. Dress code will be Dan Skinner's RS300 National Tour t-shirt as seen on facebook. Keep your eye out for ordering information. Your RS300 Chairs Steve and Pete have put together a RS300 class survey here. Please fill it in and help us drive your fleet forward to greater success and even more fun. The survey is open until 15 March 2015.
The RS300 fleet have been punching above their weight in the Sail Juice series. Take a peak here. Four out of the eight event to count with three events to go: Steve Nicks 24 Jan, Tiger Trophy 31 Jan - 1 Feb and the rescheduled Grafham Grand Prix 22 Feb. So far Steve Bolland is looking strong but not secure in the lead.
There is a new South West handicap series during March taking in Roadford Lake SC, Starcross YC and Wimbleball SC. More information here.

The first RS300 event of 2015 will be your Winter Championship held at Hykeham SC 14-15 March. Stick the date in your diary. More details to follow. All event details will be displayed on your RS300 website under events.
Let's build on last year's successful usage of the Intend to Race Button found at the bottom of your event page. By clicking the button you are not entering the event but merely letting your friends know that you are game enough to race. This should encourage them to challenge you and enter themselves. Clubs monitor the page to see how entries are going and to help them plan for a better event.
If you are thinking of going to the fabulous YC Carnac for the Eurocup 23-26 May 15 I strongly suggest you get on and book your ferry and accommodation now before prices rise and availability is limited. Very useful thread running on the RS300 facebook page. Might also be worth sorting your Euros now while sterling is strong. If you are taking your loved one I recommend donning your glad rags and treating yourselves to the tasting menu or the lobster journey menu at Le Ratelier in old Carnac (also on Trip Advisor etc in English).
I am busy working on your Nationals with your Chairs and the team at Dovey YC for 9-12 July 15. Don't worry if you haven't booked your accommodation yet. There is plenty within stumbling distance of the club. The campsite is but a short bike ride away. Again useful facebook thread.
