Volvo Noble Marine RS100 National Championship will not go ahead
As Secretary of the RS Class Association I am very sorry to have to inform you that the 2020 Volvo Noble Marine RS300 National Championships at SCYC will not go ahead, due to the current restrictions and future uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic.
The RS300 Class Association have been in regular discussions with South Caernarvonshire YC, however the club have decided that there will be no competitive sailing at Abersoch this Summer and with the support of the Class Association have taken the decision that they are unable to host the RS100 and RS300 Nationals in 2020.
We extend our thanks to the management team at SCYC who have shown such great enthusiasm, professionalism and hospitality in the planning of the event; no doubt the RS100s and RS300s will visit Abersoch in the future.
We are actively exploring alternatives to bring you a 2020 National Championships and will keep you updated on our progress. Please check fast news, the website and social media for ongoing updates.
We will also focus our efforts on the 2021 Volvo Noble Marine RS300 National Championships, which will take place at Brixham YC, 9-12 Sept 2021.
Many thanks for your understanding, hope to see you all on the water soon.
Sally
