Results / Scottish Series Scottish SC - 01/01/2005

National Champion Ian Baillie finished where he started with a clean sweep of all the Scottish travellers he entered with a victory at Aberdeen and Stonehaven. Ian, from Dalgety Bay, secured 4 race wins out of 4 during the wind curtailed final travellers of 2005. The closest challenge came from Neil Beveridge from Prestwick, but Ian's boat speed is impressive leading up to the National Chanpionships at Filey. Gavin Marshall from St Mary's Loch also showed good form at times, but just didn't have the consistency to get amongst the leaders. Sunday's only race was a master class from Ian Baillie in winds touching 30 knots while the remainder of the 300 fleet watched from the beach. This completed a very successful 2005 series with 22 entrants over 6 events with Ian Baillie first overall, Mr Bevs second and Ben Yates third.
